After Maria of Cult Nails Tweeted a self-serving tweet referencing the loss of someone in the nail polish community to bipolar disorder, some customers (including myself) took to Facebook and Twitter to express our opinions that her response was less about awareness, sympathy, and honoring a life and more about selling nail polish and attention whoring.
This is what I posted on the Cult Nails Facebook page:
That post was apparently replied to by Maria, but I never saw it, because it was soon deleted.
The next morning, I received this private message via Facebook. I have never communicated via FB with this person before, and I do not know her.
I replied with my honest opinion, and then I had a strange gut feeling, so I asked a follow-up question. This is what I said to her:

She viewed my response right away, but she didn't respond with a "No, I'm just curious," which is a natural response from someone who isn't trying to be deceptive. So, I decided to do a little digging.
Here is what I found.
Her blog is Judi Xo. She is a member of the Central Florida Beauty Bloggers.
Here are some candids of events with her and Maria and Phyrra of the earring "giveaway" fame:
I saved the best for last.
So, she would email *me* to find out what was going on why, exactly?

So, I replied with the following. Thoughts, anyone?
This was her reply to me just now. I am not sure what to believe. I still think there is something very shady about this group, and I honestly wonder if Maria asked her minions to find out more about why people would disparage her and her big heart. I don't trust that woman at all.
